Ioanna Topa holds an Engineering Diploma (2012) and a Master's degree in Information Systems Security (2014) from the Department of Information & Communication Systems Engineering, University of the Aegean.

She is currently a PhD Candidate, working under the supervision of the Assistant Professor Maria Karyda, at the Department of Information & Communications Systems Engineering, University of the Aegean.

Her research interests are related to Information Systems Security, Information Systems' Security Management, Privacy and Usability of security and privacy tools.
